This year Celina Leffler (center) was able to add some important successes to her career. In January she became German champion at the indoor pentathlon championships in athletics. In July she surprisingly became world champion in the U18 heptathlon. Therefore Lord Mayor Prof. Dr. Joachim Hofmann-Göttig and Mayor Marie-Theres Hammes-Rosenstein the exceptional athlete in the town hall. The fact that Koblenz is a sports city is confirmed again and again by the successes of competitive athletes. „As a heptathlete, Celina Leffler has no one-sided talent but also off the field she is a talent“, as the mayor noted in his laudation, „she did her Abitur with an average of 1.7“.
